Please call before referring patients.

Emergency Services is for emergencies only. Emergencies are defined as a medical incident or condition which, if not treated immediately, would result in long-lasting morbidity or mortality.

Stable animals that need a workup will be sent home and clients instructed to make an appointment with the appropriate service.

Your regular veterinarian may not be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) is.
A team of caring, highly qualified clinicians is on site to give your pet the immediate care he or she needs.

Call the VMC emergency number at 612-625-9711.
