Behavioral Consultations

Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
(Office visits and house calls available)

Useful Information Clients are asked to bring include a videotape of the pet's undesired behavior and a log of incidents with a description of the context in which the problem occurs (frequency, duration, location, events or persons involved and a detailed description of the pet's behavior before, during, and after the event). Family members and other household pets may be asked to attend appointments.

We encourage the referring veterinarian to provide a summary of existing medical problems, their current treatment, and treatment prescribed for the behavior problem.

Initial appointments last about two to three hours. A detailed written summary of recommendations is mailed to the clients after the appointment.

Follow-up is usually provided via phone calls or emails. Recheck appointment may be recommended depending on the problem and progress made.
