* Diagnosis and medical and/or surgical treatment of all eye disorders in all
species of animals (small animals, large animals and exotic animals)
* Eye certification exams (CERF and EERF) and breed-specific screening genetic
blood tests

* Slit lamp biomicroscopy, direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, and TonopenĀ®
tonometry for routine ophthalmic examination
* Operating microscope and microsurgical instrumentation for ophthalmic surgery
* Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation for cataracts
* Streak retinoscopy for determination of refractive error
* Ocular ultrasonography, including High Resolution Imaging for evaluation of
glaucoma, corneal and iris diseases
* Diode laser for treatment of glaucoma, ocular tumors and retinal detachment
* Shunt implants for treatment of glaucoma
* Cyclosporine implants for treatment of equine recurrent uveitis
* Cryosurgery for treatment of ocular tumors and distichiasis
* Electroretinogram to test retinal function
* Canine Eye Registry Foundation Examination (CERF)
* Equine Eye Registry Foundation Examination (EERF)
Useful information
Ophthalmologists are on call after hours and on weekends for sight-threatening
emergencies. However, they are not available for routine appointments or routine
telephone consultations during that time.
