VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION
Behavior Service Administration Assistant
RESPONSIBILITIES
Behavior problems in pets are one of the main reasons they are abandoned or
euthanized. Behavior Services are instrumental in helping owners deal more effectively
with their pets and finding alternatives to poor behavior. Volunteers assist
with numerous administrative tasks and record keeping that allow the staff to
focus on the pets.
HOURS
Determined between volunteer and staff, usually in the PM .
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age, up-to-date with tetanus and rabies series shots.
Must complete orientation; willing to commit to one shift a week for six months (includes a one-month probation period).
VMC TRAINING
Initial training and ongoing in-service training is provided by staff supervisor, volunteer manager, and other staff.
