 | Dr. Anna Firshman BVSc, PhD, DACVIM Dr. Firshman is board certified in large animal internal medicine and has a strong background in the treatment of camelids. She was previously a faculty member at Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine. She has also conducted several research studies aimed to improve our understanding of camelid health and well-being. Her specific area involves the treatment of camelid metabolic and medical disorders. |
 | Dr. Cindy Wolf DVM Dr. Wolf is a University of Minnesota camelid field service veterinarian who has been providing veterinary care for camelids since 1986. |
 | Dr. Scott Madill BVSc, DVSc, DipL. ACT. Dr. Madill is board certified in Theriogenology and provides full care reproductive services for camelids. |
 | Dr. Erin Malone PhD, DACVS, Associated Medical Director, Large Animal Hospital Dr. Malone has been working with camelids for several years. She has experience with a variety of surgical aspects including: tooth removal, tumors, respiratory disorders, urinary tract issues, limb disorders and gastrointestinal problems. |

 | Dr. Micky Trent DVM, MVSc, DACVS Dr. Trent has been a board certified specialist in large animal surgery and a surgeon at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine since 1986. She is also the head veterinarian for St. Paul's Como Zoo and has a wide range of experience in camelids as well as other hoofstock, domestic and non-domestic. |

 | Dr. Kate O'Conor DVM Dr. O'Conor is excited to be working towards specialization in Large Animal Medicine with a particular emphasis on camelids. As a student, she was president of the Camelid and Small Ruminant club, and took many opportunities outside of class to work with alpacas and llamas. She attended the Camelid Medicine and Surgery course ath Oregon State University. She designed a research project to identify resistance yo dewormers in herds adn flocks in Minnesota. Her interests include parasite control, cria care, pain management and metabolic diseases. |
| Dr. Alex Draper BVetMed Dr. Draper is a veterinarian working toward a specialization in Large Animal Internal Medicine, who qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, OK in 2007. Followed by an internship at their referral equine hospital for a year. She started at the U of M in July 2010. |
 | Dr. Raffa Teixeira DVM Dr. Teixeira is a veterinarian working toward a specialization in Large Animal Internal Medicine. She recived her veterinary degree from Sao Paulo University, where she also completed a residency in Large Animal Medicine. She joined the VMC's health care team in 2008. |

 | Jenni Olson, CVT Before joining the VMC team in 2006, Jenni completed her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota, and veterinary technician program at the Minnesota School of Business. With her she brought nine years of camelid experience from the Co-Rect Llama Ranch. While there she gained knowledge in camelid husbandry and went on to become herd manager for six years. She became very fascinated with camelids and started her own herd with two geldings. She now has a herd that she shows at a national level. Jen and her family also continue to be very involved in the Minnesota State camelid 4-H project. Jen is pictured with her favorite llama, Tacoma. | |
 | Paul Weinand, CVT Paul joined the VMC in 2001 after completing the veterinary technician program at Ridgewater College. Entering the hospital with an equine background, he was quickly introduced to the world of camelids. While at the VMC he has gained experience in nursing care, blood collection, and catheter placement. His time at the VMC has shown what a challenging, yet rewarding species camelids are to work with.
